This piece evokes the cheerful, playful, carefree days when rain would pour from the skies and fill the curb space with rushing rivers of storm run-off. Every dip or ding in the roads became invitations to jump in and splash. We’d wade through the new streams at street’s edge - with abandon and imagination. My children did this, too. And now my grandchildren.
“Puddle Jumping” speaks of a right of passage. Pure pleasure of childhood.
